Horror flicks..

Hey:-)
Does anyone other than me love horror and sci-fi flicks? I just recently went to see 28 weeks later and it made me jump quite a few times! It really got to me after the movie, made me think what if something like that would really happen? Can you image a virus that turned you into a very aggressive raged induced psychotic? No, I am not talking about those days when you are totally pms-ing and you want to kill everyone!!! I am talking about a made up virus that could infect everyone and with no cure, it is a bit freaky
I also saw The hills have eyes part 2, that was a bit sick and demented with the story line but a pretty good "what will happen next" type of film! But lets face it, who of us is going to be traveling near ghosts towns anytime soon? lol Ok all, I am ready to go see Hostile 2, omg I cannot wait
Drop a post if you dare

I love horror movies, but not any that are sci-fi or about zombies. I like the traditional ghost/supernatural/mysterious/superstitious stuff.

LOL Have you read about any new movies coming out? I joined fearnet for updates and such, but have not heard of any ghost type movies lately
I know that there was an indie movie similar to the exorcist that was in the box office, I think it was a London based film? Anywho, I forget the name but think it started with P or R? It should be coming out soon and looked pretty scary!

I forgot about Saw... What a brutally true based movie that one is! I might add that in each movie, the more gruesome it became! I will never take my life for granted!! Makes you wonder how these writers can come up with the story lines???

Was that supposed to be sarcastic? I love thrillers, but I'm not into a lot of blood and gore. A little is OK if it's part of the plot and required...

Not at all, Sorry if you took it that way. Just giving a review of that movie since I had just watched it:-) Just stating that it is acceptable for younger kids to watch, since I have 2 of them and most horror sci-fi movies have a great bit of nudity and other stuff packed in them. ( I feel kids learn enough about that stuff on their own without watching it on TV).
Since you are into sci-fi, not sure if you would like this movie, but I found it pretty good, Night Watch. It is a Russian made movie through Fox Search Light productions and it is a battle between light and dark. Not blood or gore, but a time travel type that guards the nature of light and dark? If you go onto Blockbuster, you can watch trailers for it. They have a sequel out on certain theaters called Day Watch, that I really want to see, and then the Final sequel will be Dusk watch. fantastic special effects, honest:-)

LOL, I just wasn't sure, it would have been funny if you were being sarcastic... Good to know, I was curious about this movie, but I didn't know if I would just be horrified or if it would be a good one for me.
Cool, I will check out Night Watch. I love independent films, but just don't get to watch them very often.

Did you like the part when he gets torn apart? lol It actually was the better movie from the orignal. Though I kinda thought this Hitcher was quite SEXY! Yummy! ha ha ha What did you think?
Also, Just rented Dead Silence and watched it. I am not sure what to say about it? It was not the scary but the dolls kind of creeped me out! So I am pretty neutral on this movie. What does anyone else think about it?
